Born and growing up in the West Coast of Italy, between Viareggio and La Spezia, gave Gian Paolo an early love and respect for the sea and the many styles of vessels that ply the Italian coasts. He obtained a Master's Degree in Architecture and Design from the Florence University of the Arts.

Later as head designer for the Italian company Meccanonet Group from 2003 to 2008, he collaborated with several famous shipyards and designers, including Fincantieri Yachts and Benetti Yachts. In addition he has enhanced this knowledge base of yachting and yacht builders as a free-lance reporter for few prestigious yachting magazines.

In 2008 he launched his own personal brand of architecture and yacht design, with a major influence on the exterior and interior styling and layout for luxury yachts and residential.

Thanks to a great passion for design and a pure creativity, Gian Paolo Nari offers a fresh and stylish approach to modern yacht design, from small pleasure craft to large and luxurios world traveling yachts.
