Selene Yachts New Semi-Displacement Models
The first Selene model of the semi-displacement Ocean Clipper series launched in 2017 and is now in full production for 2018. Selene Yachts have added a high speed semi-displacement Ocean Clipper model to the Selene Voyager, Explorer and Expedition range. The Selene 59' Ocean Clipper features the renowned Selene hallmarks of 'Grace and Strength', but designers Howard Chen and Guido De Groot have now added 'Speed' to the motto;
'Grace, Strength and Speed'.
19 Knots in Comfort
During sea trials the Ocean Clipper 59' reached the expected speed of 19 knots with her twin 715hp Cummins engines.
Three luxury staterooms, a large salon, a wide pilothouse with a commanding view, a large cockpit and a wide flybridge, the Selene 59 Ocean Clipper reveals a superyacht finish.
The pilothouse is a captain’s dream; a large dashboard and the raised settee, concealing a cozy watch-berth, is a perfect observation spot for passengers.
Other seating options on this yacht include: the fore-deck features two large loungers to port and starboard and the flybridge, accessible from the pilot- house, is a second comfortable salon sheltered under a hard-top with a sliding sun roof!
On the technical side, the engine room is also a captain or engineer’s dream with an easy access hatch in the cockpit and perfectly laid-out systems. Generous soundproofing allows quiet while he two Cummins engines push her along at just under 20 knots.
